Logan puts together a few small pop-up tournaments throughout the fishing season just for fun. The idea is to keep them small, local, simple, and 100% payback. It gives us another excuse to get out on Lake Michigan, catch some fish, and add a little friendly competition to a Ludington morning. These tournaments are completely separate from the Big King Bonanza and are not Big King Bonanza events. Logan simply happens to organize both. When a pop-up tournament is scheduled, you'll find the details, entry information, rules, and payouts posted below.

Ludington Pop-up Tournaments
Pop-Up Tournament Rules
Join us for a simple, five-fish tournament out of Ludington. This is a Gentlemen’s Agreement tournament.
Tournament Details
Lines In: 5:30 AM
Lines Out: 11:00 AM
Entry Fee: $100 per boat
Weigh-In: 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM at the Harbor View Pavillion
Fishing Area
Boats must depart from and return to the Ludington Pierheads.
All fishing must take place outside the pier arms.
Weigh-In
Each boat may weigh its five heaviest Trout and/or Salmon.
Weigh-in will begin at 11:30 AM at the Harbor View fish Pavilion. Fish must be at Harbor View for weigh-in no later than 12:15 PM.
We encourage every participating boat to come to the scales and weigh your fish, no matter how you think your box stacks up. Bring your fish, put a weight on the board, and stick around for a little friendly competition and trash talk.
If you are not a Harbor View boat, please take your fish back to your marina or an appropriate fish cleaning station for processing after the weigh-in.
Payouts
With 10 or more boats participating:
Big Fish: $200
After the Big Fish payout, the remaining tournament pot will be split between the two heaviest five-fish boxes:
1st Place: 70%
2nd Place: 30%
With less than 10 boats participating:
1st Place: 100% (winner take all for the heaviest five-fish box)
